In 1996, Shenzhen No.2 People's Hospital set up a nuclear medicine discipline, and there were 2 members in the Department. The undergraduate has advanced SPECT/CT, chemiluminescence immunoanalyzer equipment, examination methods for human safety, no trauma, daily main functional imaging examination, in vitro analysis and nuclear treatment and other clinical work and teaching, scientific research, can carry out SPECT/CT imaging, extracorporeal analysis and nuclide therapy three major projects. SPECT/CT can be used to examine the perfusion function of various organs, especially in the diagnosis of angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, cardiac function monitoring, cerebral ischemia and the cause analysis of psychosis and headache, renal function detection and renal transplant monitoring, the detection of tumor quality and whole body bone metastasis, and can help the diagnosis of clinical miscellaneous diseases. In vitro analysis and determination of a number of trace elements in the body, such as various endocrine hormones and tumor markers, can be used to detect tiny changes in the body's trace elements and assist clinicians in the early diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Nuclide therapy has some unique advantages for some diseases, mainly the treatment of iodine 131 for hyperthyroidism or thyroid cancer, the treatment of bone metastasis and bone pain of malignant tumor and the application of skin hemangioma in infants.
